Belgian Waffles have long been the standard for awesome breakfast food. But there are many different ways to get the most out of yours. If you love breakfast, continue to break! If you're a sweet person, there are plenty of potential desserts you can put together with Belgian Waffles. We've cooked up (and taste-tested) the following recipes just for you. Breakfast Taco Waffle
- 2 large eggs (substitute: Powdered eggs)
- Honeyville Belgian Waffle Mix
- Freeze Dried Sausage (or fresh sausage)
Instructions:
- Create your waffle mix and add sausage to it
- Pour into waffle iron
- While waffle is cooking, scrambled two eggs
- Remove waffle from iron and place eggs on top
- Drizzle syrup over the waffle (or not), fold over and enjoy!
Strawberry Shortcake Waffle
Ingredients:
- Honeyville Belgian Waffle Mix
- Freeze Dried Strawberries (or fresh)
- Insta-Whip
Instructions:
- Re-hydrate freeze dried strawberries (or use fresh)
- When the waffle is finished cooking, top with Insta-Whip or whipped cream
- Drain off excess water from strawberries (if freeze dried) and place on the whipped topping, and eat up!
Ice Cream Sandwich Waffle
Ingredients:
- Honeyville Belgian Waffle Mix
- Chocolate Syrup
- Chocolate Chips
- 4 scoops of ice cream
Instructions:
- Add chocolate chips to waffle batter and place in the iron
- After two Belgian Waffles are done cooking, cut them into fourths
- Place a scoop of ice cream on one piece of the waffle and place a second waffle piece on top
- Drizzle chocolate syrup over the waffle sandwich
Hot Cocoa Waffle
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups Honeyville Alta Artisan Flour
- 1/2 cup Honeyville Marshmallow Motherlode Hot Cocoa
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Himalayan Salt
- 3 1/2 Tbsp Honeyville Buttermilk Powder + 1 1/2 cups Water
- 6 Tbsp Butter, melted
- 2 Eggs
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, hot cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, and whisk together.
- Next, add buttermilk powder, water, butter, and eggs, and beat with an electric hand mixer until a thick batter forms.
- Pour batter into your waffle iron and bake until waffle is crisp.
Brownie Waffle
Ingredients:
- 4 cups Honeyville Fudge Brownie Mix
- 3 Eggs
- 1/4 Vegetable Oil
Instructions:
- First, make your waffle batter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together brownie mix, eggs, and oil.
- Pour 1/2 cup batter over your preheated waffle iron and bake until waffle is complete. Serve with whipped cream and your favorite fruit!
