Eggnog Yeasted Bread
















What's your favorite Holiday drink? Mine would have to be Eggnog. I don't know if it's the thick texture or bold flavor from those amazing spices, but nothing gets me more excited for the Holidays, or more in that Holiday cheer than a glass of cool Eggnog.

So imagine my excitement when I discovered that you could make a smooth, soft loaf of amazing, mouth-watering bread, with Eggnog. That's right, Eggnog!

Oh the joy! Oh the excitement! Oh the flavor! Trust me, the taste and texture of this bread is like nothing you've ever experienced before. Whether baking it up for your Holiday meal, or just making a loaf as a gift for a friend or neighbor, one thing is for sure, you won't be able to turn down this exciting recipe. Grab your apron, it's time to make some Eggnog Yeasted Bread!

Ingredients:
3 cups Eggnog, warm
2/3 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Butter, melted
1 Tbsp Himalayan Salt
6-8 cups Honeyville Alta Artisan Flour
3 Tbsp SAF Yeast

Topping:
1/2 cup Butter, melted
3 Tbsp Sugar

Directions:
First, prepare your dough.

In your WonderMix or Bosch Universal Mixer, add the following ingredients in this order: eggnog, sugar, butter, salt, 4 cups flour, and yeast. Turn mixer on and, while dough is mixing, add remaining flour 1 cup at a time, until dough begins to pull away from the sides (NOTE: You may not need to use all flour to achieve this). Knead in mixer for 4-5 minutes.

Remove dough from mixer and place in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise for 30-40 minutes, or until dough is double in size. Punch down and remove.

Divide dough in to and shape into a loaf (This recipe should make 2 loaves). Place in your Norpro Bread Pan and let sit for an additional 20 minutes.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Right before you place bread in oven, mix together topping ingredients and gently brush on top of loaves.

Place in 400 degree oven, knock temperature down to 350 degrees, and bake for 35 minutes. Remove and let cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Slice and serve.
