Potato Dinner Rolls
















What's your favorite part of the Holidays? Mine would definitely be the food, and in particular, the dinner rolls! Nothing compliments a big, delicious Holiday dinner like freshly baked rolls. The aroma and flavor shout Holiday cheer throughout the home.

While we've already shown you how you can make light and fluffy Thanksgiving Dinner Rolls, healthy Wheat Dinner Rolls, or even fun, decorative Pumpkin Dinner Rolls, we thought we'd take a unique approach to these tried-and-true dinner delights. Specifically, we thought we'd add an all new ingredient to our recipe: Potato Flakes! That's right, we're using our versatile Potato Flakes to bake up some amazing, soft, oh so delicious Rolls that are sure to be a hit at your next Holiday gathering! Grab your favorite mixer, it's time to bake up some Potato Dinner Rolls!

Ingredients:
4 cups Hot Water
1 cup Honeyville Instant Potato Flakes
1/4 cup Butter, melted
1/3 cup Sugar
1 Tbsp Himalayan Salt
6-8 cups Honeyville Alta Artisan Bread Flour
3 Tbsp SAF Yeast

Yields: 24 rolls

Directions:
First, make your dough.

In your WonderMix Mixer, combine the following ingredients in this order: water, potato flakes, butter, sugar, salt, 4 cups flour, and yeast. Turn mixer on and, while ingredients are mixing, add remaining flour 1 cup at a time until dough begins to pull away from the sides. Knead in machine for 4-6 minutes, then remove.

Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 30-40 minutes, or until dough is double in size.

Once raised, punch down dough, remove, and begin to divide into round balls of dough. Place on your USA Pan Baking Sheet, lined with parchment paper, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise for 20 minutes.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Once risen, remove plastic wrap and brush tops of rolls with melted butter, then place in oven. Once in oven, knock temperature down to 350 and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Remove and, while still hot, brush tops with melted butter, then serve.
