Hot Cocoa Pound Cake with Eggnog Glaze
















Hot Cocoa. On a cold winter day, there's nothing better than a warm mug of this delicious drink. Topped with whipped cream or marshmallows, flavored with Irish Cream, Peppermint, or French Vanilla, this warm drink of the winter makes the Holidays even brighter.

So imagine what would happen if you could infuse the sweet, amazing tastes of your favorite Hot Cocoa brand (Honeyville's of course) with the light, fluffy flavors of delicious pound cake. Sounds like a Holiday dessert baked up in Heaven, right? Trust us, this divine concoction can be created right in your own kitchen! Best of all, we've got a creamy Eggnog flavored glaze to spread atop! Yup, the Holidays never tasted so good! Grab your apron, we're baking up Hot Cocoa Pound Cake!

Ingredients:
1 cup Honeyville Alta Artisan Flour
1 tsp Himalayan Salt
3/4 cup Honeyville Marshmallow Motherlode Hot Cocoa Mix
1/2 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
1/3 cup Hot Water
1 cup Butter, softened
1 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla
5 Eggs

Eggnog Glaze:
1/2 cup Dark Chocolate Chips, melted
1/4 cup Eggnog
2 tsp Light Corn Syrup

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Whisk flour and salt together in a separate bowl, then set aside.

In a heatproof bowl, add hot cocoa mix and dark chocolate chips.

Add hot water and stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is combined and smooth.

Add cocoa mixture to a large bowl. Add butter, sugars, vanilla, and eggs. With an electric hand mixer, mix until ingredients are fully combined.

Next, add your flour mixture and mix until a thick batter forms.

Pour batter into your USA Pan Large Loaf Pan and bake at 325 degrees for 65-70 minutes.

Remove and let cool for 15 minutes in pan, then turn out on a wire rack.

While cake is cooling, make glaze by combining melted chocolate chips, eggnog, and corn syrup, and whipping together until a smooth glaze forms.

Using a spatula, spread glaze over the top of the cake. Let cake sit for 15 minutes for glaze to set up, then slice and serve.
